A Successful Back to School Bash

At Gillman Honda San Antonio, we would like to take a moment and extend our gratitude. many of you know, August 19th was our first—and certainly not last—Back to School Bash featuring new Honda cars! We are extremely fortunate and thankful for all who came out and enjoyed the festivities, as well as those who contributed.

During this bash, we passed out nearly 400 backpacks to students to start the school year off right! We even had leftover backpacks, which we donated to middle schools in the area. We also were successful in handing out school supplies, thanks to local businesses.

None of this would have been possible without the help of our sponsors and their lovely contributions:

Of course, we can’t forget our DJ, Joe Sanchez, for rocking out during the bash and providing a fun atmosphere for all in attendance.

Our vendors also deserve a shoutout for providing delicious food and treats, Miguelitos & Co. and Kona Ice., as does our talented and kind hair stylist, Jaclyn Rubio.

Many thanks to the Selma Police Department and Selma Fire Department for also being a part of our bash—we truly appreciate everything that you do.

We have leftover backpacks with supplies, so instead of letting them go to waste or collect dust, the remaining backpacks were donated to local elementary schools. The students at Green Valley Elementary, Norma J Paschal Elementary, and Coronado Village Elementary were so appreciative and it was another great way for us to give back. You can check out pictures from the bash here!

At Gillman Honda San Antonio, your local Honda dealership, we strive to be active and supportive in a variety of community events. We look forward to working on more projects just like this one, and we hope to see you at one of them soon!
