In just its first year of existence, the Honda HR-V has already established itself as a real player in an ever-growing field of compact crossovers that really have captured the hearts (and garages) of millions of people all over the United States. At Gillman Honda San Antonio, we’ve had an especially fun time selling this vehicle over the course of the last year and we are very pleased to see that a new 2017 model year version will find its way to our facility sometime soon. While the 2017 Honda HR-V obviously isn’t a full redesign after only one year in action, it does get some really nice upgrades in its first update.

The most notable change for the 2017 model year Honda HR-V is the addition of a new exterior color, Lunar Silver metallic, which replaces the old Alabaster Silver, but the vehicle also has earned a number of eco-friendly credentials over the course of the last year or so, mostly due to the fact that it features elite fuel efficiency thanks to a highly-refined and efficient 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine capable of producing a respectable 141 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque.

Beyond that, the vehicle still offers all the same great features that made it so popular in the first place, including loads of infotainment technology, advanced safety features, and affordable trim options for buyers on all sorts of different budgets. Essentially, it’s still a more affordable, smaller version of the best-selling Honda CR-V, which is an undeniably good thing for Selma, TX customers on the hunt for a new automobile.

The 2017 Honda HR-V has not arrived on our lot quite yet, but if you want a more hands-on preview, come let us know and we’ll set you up on a test drive of the 2016 Honda HR-V so you can get a good idea of what to expect.
