It’s hard not to get excited about the major auto shows that occur here in the United States, mostly because visitors know that what they see there very well could be something that they actually drive someday. It’s rare to see some Euro-spec model appear in L.A. or Chicago or Detroit because the people walking through these exhibits don’t care about untouchable autos. Here at Gillman Honda San Antonio, we just want to see a vehicle that we’ll really and truly sell, which is what makes the forthcoming Honda Civic Si so delightful for everyone involved.

We’ve spent the better part of this year going gaga over the new Honda Civic lineup, and the Si iteration is the most recent member of the family to make its debut. For those unfamiliar, this is a performance version of the vehicle that has been popular overseas for some years now, and in the U.S. lineup it looks to slot right between the standard Honda Civic Sport trim and the much more powerful Honda Civic Type R.

More specifically, this is a vehicle that will boast a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that is expected to make somewhere in between 200-300 hp. The exact number hasn’t been released yet, but we expect big things.

It also looks different from the standard version of the vehicle. It’s sportier, though not quite as extreme as the Honda Civic Type R, but we’ll take the special grille, revised bumpers, and wheels. They look great on this particular Honda car, and as your Honda dealership serving New Braunfels, TX, we can say honestly that we’re looking forward to selling this great Honda Civic variation. They just keep on coming, and they keep on looking fantastic.
