One of the most user-friendly technological changes that automobiles have undergone over the course of the last half-decade or so is the introduction of voice commands, which allow drivers to make the most of their infotainment systems without having to take their eyes off of the road.
Honda has been no stranger to this technology, including it as a standard feature on all 2016 models. Making a phone call, setting the temperature, and changing the radio station all are things that have never been so easy to accomplish so effortlessly. In fact, all it takes is one tap of a single button on the steering wheel to engage voice commands, which puts so many handy features at the fingertips of customers in a safe and engaging way.
That little button is on the left-hand side of the wheel and requires a quick thumb-push to initiate the feature. Drivers will hear a little beep, at which point they can rattle off whatever it is they want to see done. They can request that the car change the radio station or switch to a more comfortable temperature. It can give the date, switch over to any of the vehicle’s myriad audio offerings, or even control navigation for Honda models that feature nav software.
A lot of this started in a few new Honda models some short years ago but now has spilled over to the entire model line. For more information on how to use these voice commands, drivers should access the owner’s manual available online at owners.honda.com, or the searchable video disc that comes at the time of purchase. And, as always, San Marcos drivers can reach out to a sales professional here at Gillman Honda San Antonio with more questions should they arise, but with a system this easy to use, we often find that our customers are happy to figure it out on their own.
