There’s no question that the San Antonio, TX area is one with strong roots in Hispanic heritage. According to the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation, over 45% of the people currently living in the San Antonio Metropolitan area are of Hispanic or Latino descent, and 37.5% of the people living in Bexar County are either native Spanish speakers or bilingual. Even the name “San Antonio” derives from Spanish, so yes, this is an area where Hispanic culture is very much valued.

Taking all of this into consideration, we were very excited here at Gillman Honda San Antonio to see that Honda was planning a new Hispanic marketing campaign centered around the completely-redesigned 2017 Honda Ridgeline pickup.

Some new Spanish-speaking commercials will debut during the Campeón de Campeones soccer tournament on Univision Deportes. The ads will focus on the importance of friends and family, while also showing off how hard-working and versatile the pickup is at its best.

“The incredible versatility and one-of-a-kind features of the Honda Ridgeline are what set it apart from other midsize trucks and make it the perfect vehicle for people’s daily lives or special tailgating events,” said Gina George, Manager of Multicultural Marketing at American Honda. “Debuting Ridgeline to fans of Campeón de Campeones is a fantastic opportunity to show how Ridgeline can bring friends and family together.”

As your Honda dealership, we look forward to helping you find the perfect automobile for your needs, and we’re glad these new ads show just how valuable our Hispanic and Latino customers are to us. Please stop by Gillman Honda San Antonio any time to take the new Ridgeline for a test drive so you can see for yourself just why it’s worthy of multicultural attention.
