This past summer, Honda has been on a roll when it comes to advertisements. We’ve already discussed in this space how fun the “glee club fantasy” commercials have been, but Honda recently released another fantastic advertisement touting the all-around versatility of the new 2017 Honda Ridgeline.

The spot is a great bit of stop-motion art that starts with five Ridgeline pickup trucks rolling into a sound stage with all sorts of various payloads in the back. Workers unload the goods from each bed and begin five individual projects that include things like a dirtbike track and a playhouse. The camera cuts from one to the next as they’re constructed in fast-forward, then the camera slowly zooms out from the projects to reveal that each of them creates one letter of the “Honda” logo. It’s incredibly creative, but that’s exactly what Honda was going for when they commissioned the spot.

"We really wanted something that stood apart from traditional truck advertising that you see on television because it's Honda and we like to do things a little bit differently," said Susie Rossick, assistant VP-marketing at American Honda Motor Co. “So we decided to take this turn and show all the different things that you can do with a Ridgeline -- not just the typical throwing lumber in the back and then going off to a construction site."

If you’re interested in test driving a new 2017 Honda Ridgeline, come visit your friendly neighborhood Honda dealership serving San Antonio, TX, and a Gillman Honda San Antonio sales associate will get you behind the wheel. As the aforementioned commercial proves, this is a pickup that can do just about anything. As the tagline in the spot says, “If you can dream it, you can do it.”
