Once a year, Bank of America Merrill Lynch puts together an automotive report affectionately referred to as the "Car Wars" report, and it takes a close look at the current state and long-term futures of every relevant automaker in the business to try and get a sense of where things are headed and which brands will own their corners of the market.

According to the 2015 version of this study, Honda appears to be in a position of power moving forward, thanks in large part to its plans to redesign a number of its models between now and 2019. Honda is on schedule to redesign an average of 24% of its models every year from 2016 through 2019, meaning that by the final year, 96% of all Honda vehicles will have been recently refreshed. That's more than any other brand in the industry, and certainly good for San Antonio Honda customers looking forward to great new things from their favorite car brand.

Obviously that kicks off with the 2016 Honda Civic and the 2016 Honda Pilot, but there are more coming, and the "Car Wars" report seems to imply that all the hard work will help the automaker gain U.S. market share over the course of the next four years.

That will be fueled not only by the Civic, but by upcoming redesigns for the CR-V, Odyssey and Accord. The 2016 HR-V also will be brand new next year, really helping to kick off what should be a pretty dominant half-decade for Honda. As your friendly neighborhood Honda dealership, we're excited to be a part of it!
