There are a lot of exciting things going on right now in the world of new Honda SUVs, as we've discussed at length in this space over the course of the last month, but with the impending release of the 2016 Honda Pilot we grow increasingly excited by the day for a completely-redesigned family SUV that can do a little bit of everything.

That versatility is brought to the forefront of a new ad for the Honda Pilot called 'The Incredible Pilot Elite," which spends its precious 30 seconds showing how pretty and how utilitarian the vehicle is. Using a little bit of CGI, the new 2016 Honda Pilot runs through a few different scenarios to show its ability to haul kids, traverse through bad weather and accommodate a whole lot of cargo. It even shows off a slick new button that automatically moves the second row of seats forward, making that third row more accessible than ever before.

The second commercial is one called "Even Better," a one-minute spot directed by Jason Reitman ("Up In the Air," "Juno"), in which a rather large family enjoys a dusty road trip in the new 2016 Honda Pilot while singing "Buddy Holly" by Weezer. It hammers home the idea of this vehicle as one intended for families, and it certainly does so in a fun way.

We're excited to receive the new 2016 Honda Pilot in the coming months, and while we know there will be a short wait before it shows up, it should be worth our patience. Few family SUVs are likely to prove as versatile, fun and reliable as this one.
