A lot has been made over the course of the last few weeks about the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, but let's not forget that it isn't the only major auto show to take place annually in the United States; the upcoming Chicago Auto Show is also known for debuting plenty of exciting new automotive news, and Honda in particular has some pretty good things ready to unveil this winter in the Windy City.
The most notable of these debuts is almost certainly the 2016 Honda Pilot, the newest edition of the largest SUV currently in the Honda stable. Teaser images have given us some sense of the new design, which looks undeniably modern and sleek, but it will be impossible for us to get a true sense of the vehicle ahead of its official debut in the coming weeks.
Based on the recent debuts of the smaller upgraded CR-V and new HR-V models, though, we have every expectation that the new, third-generation Pilot will be an absolute delight. According to a press release from Honda, the new Pilot will include three rows with up to eight seats, lots of new technology, several slick advanced safety features, class-leading fuel efficiency and more practicality and utility for families than ever before.
Also in Chicago, Honda will debut an updated version of the Ridgeline pickup truck, though we have even less of an idea as to what that may entail. Recently discontinued, this next-gen version of the truck could be good enough to rejuvenate the model at some point in the not-too-distant future. We, of course, are very much looking forward to that future.
