Of all the light-hearted awards that Kelley Blue Book doles out over the course of a given year, it's important to remember that there are a handful of rather serious and helpful accolades on the lauded car valuation website, as well. The most prestigious of these is the KBB Best Buy Awards, which just last month were awarded for the 2016 model year. Honda, as you may have guessed, performed quite well in this year's version of the awards.

To avoid burying the lede, we'll go ahead and announce that the 2016 Honda Civic was named the Overall Best Buy by KBB.com this year, meaning that it not only is a great car regardless of price, it also is a tremendous value among its competition in the small car segment. The 10th-generation compact auto is doing a slew of new things for the new model year, as we've discussed in this space before in great detail, but thanks to its sharp looks, elite fuel efficiency, top-rate safety features and army of newfangled technologies, it's a no-brainer for consumers considering the reasonable cost.

Of course, that wasn't the only Honda model to garner praise from KBB.com. The 2016 Honda CR-V, 2016 Honda Pilot and 2016 Honda Odyssey also earned top honors in their own segments, giving Honda the win in four of the nine standard auto categories. We here at Gillman Honda San Antonio obviously spend a lot of time praising these and other Honda automobiles, but to have so many of our top models foster such positivity for providing their owners with such incredible value is something of which we are very proud. Hopefully the 2017 Best Buy awards are even more fruitful for Honda!
