When Honda first debuted the HondaVAC in the 2014 Honda Odyssey, it only was attached to the highest trim of the lauded minivan and so only available to those minivan customers willing to pay for that top model. In the two years since that debut, however, the vehicle's handy little built-in vacuum cleaner has garnered a ton of positive press. Your friendly neighborhood Honda dealership also has received a lot of questions about when that option would be made available on some of the other trims, and it looks like the answer is that the 2016 Honda Odyssey will be the time.
Honda has put together a new Special Edition (SE) trim that will, in fact, include the HondaVAC, as well as a few other really nice creature comforts like the Rear Entertainment System with 115V power outlet, as well as SiriusXM Radio. These are exactly the sorts of features that traveling/commuting families need, and it's why we're so excited about the prospect of adding the 2016 Honda Odyssey SE to our lineup.
The higher-ups at Honda are excited about it, too:
"Our Odyssey customers have told us some of the features they value most and we have packed these in the new Odyssey SE model to create a special value edition that we know American families are going to love," said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of Honda Sales.
He's not wrong, as we expect this Odyssey SE will be very popular among minivan shoppers looking to get a lot of awesome features for a reasonable price. The latest models arrived at our facility earlier this month, so those looking for a test drive can certainly get one by stopping by any time or giving us a call!
