Like it or not, August is here to signal the end of summer, which for our college-age kids is probably both bittersweet in that they have to get back to work, but also can get out of their parents' houses after a long three months under their childhood roofs.

However they may feel about going back to school, though, August can be a great time for buying a new car. Many college students find that a new school year brings the need for an off-campus job or some sort of internship, and it's not always possible to rely on public transportation to get them there.

Knowing this, Kelley Blue Book put together a list of the "10 Best Back-To-School Cars," and we here at Gillman Honda of San Antonio were very pleased to see that Honda was not only the lone automaker to feature two cars on the list, but that those two cars both were ranked in the top four, including the top vehicle overall.

That top vehicle was the 2015 Honda Fit, our completely redesigned subcompact hatchback that does great with gas mileage, is affordable and offers arguably the most versatile cargo area in the segment thanks to the Magic Seat, which folds down when the driver needs more space for stuff rather than passengers.

Also in the top five was the all-new 2016 Honda HR-V, a small crossover that comes in a little smaller and a little more affordable than the best-selling CR-V, but doesn't compromise on any of the great technologies or safety features that made its big sibling so successful.

Obviously, we aren't here to tell a college-age driver which car they should drive, but we have to admit that these two KBB.com suggestions are pretty perfect!
