It used to be that Halloween was an event where kids could wander neighborhoods essentially unsupervised while they racked up all the candy the neighbors could spare, but we live in much different times these days, and our children's safety is much harder to guarantee. To ensure that the kids of Gillman Honda San Antonio customers get the safest, sweetest Halloween experience possible, we've teamed up with the Schertz Family YMCA to host a Trunk or Treat celebration on Saturday, October 25 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
For those that are unfamiliar with Trunk or Treat, it's an event that takes place in the parking lot of the Schertz YMCA at 621 Westchester in San Antonio, with trusted and approved adults handing out candy from the trunks of their vehicles. We'll be there, of course, because no trunk serves as a giant candy dish better than the trunk of a vehicle sold at your local Honda dealership, and we’ll be looking forward to seeing all of San Antonio's most adorable kiddos donning their spookiest costumes.
We should also mention that there will be carnival games and a car decorating contest at the event as well, making it an evening of imagination, candy and fun. Your kids are going to have a blast, and we hope you’ll have a good time as well.
Hopefully we'll see all of you out at the Schertz Y on October 25th. We’ll have lots of great treats for the kids, and we always love a good opportunity to touch base with the community at large. Happy early Halloween!
