Halloween is over, folks, which means that our kids' $30 Elsa costumes can go in that tub in the basement with the $30 Minion costumes, $30 Spiderman costumes, $30 Harry Potter costumes and $30 Toy Story costumes. It also means, however, that we adults can nibble on Twix and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in the wee hours of the night, then try to explain to our children that we have no idea what happened to them. (Who knows, maybe you'll end up on Jimmy Kimmel!)

It's sad to think that so fun a holiday is over for the year, but we here at Gillman Honda San Antonio have no regrets, as we lived the day to its fullest by helping out with the Trunk or Treat event at the YMCA and holding a costume contest here at our Honda dealership.

We talked last month about our plans to take part in the Trunk or Treat event, and we were very happy with how well it went. There were tons of really adorable kids dressed up in darling little outfits (including plenty of Elsas and Annas, obviously), and we had fun handing out candy to all of them. What's a Trunk or Treat event without a Honda vehicle anyway, right?

As far as the dealership costume contest goes, we had some great entries, with first place going to an Aladdin with his Abu, second place going to a gigantic gorilla and third place going to a lady Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

It was, to put it simply, a really fun week for us, and we were sad to see it end. Thankfully, there's still plenty of candy lying around to lift our spirits, and the Holiday season is only beginning!
