There are few things consumers value more in a car these days than fuel efficiency, which says a lot considering fuel prices are about as low as they've been in a decade. There’s just no trust that they'll stay low, and for that reason our customers here at Gillman Honda San Antonio are forever looking to get their hands on vehicles that will make the most of a tank of gas and maybe be a little kinder to the environment in the process.

Well, Honda is in the process of releasing a vehicle they’re calling the Honda FCV which not only will get 300 miles on a single tank but also will emit only water vapor as its waste. Compared to EVs, the current go-to for green auto enthusiasts, both of those things have to be considered boons, and as an added pro, the FCV will refuel in only 3-5 minutes, which is considerably faster than the charge time of an EV.

Currently, there are only a handful of hydrogen charging stations in the United States, but that number is expected to rise with a handful of automakers developing fuel-cell vehicles. As consumer demand for these cars increases, so will the number of charging stations.

As it stands, this new Honda car will release in Japan in 2016 and then have its U.S. debut shortly thereafter. We obviously are very excited to try out this cool new powertrain, and we have a feeling our customers are going to love it, too.

There's a good chance that this is a car that could revolutionize the way we fuel our vehicles. At least, we sure hope it is!
