We've talked recently about the 2014 Honda Civic and the 2014 Honda Accord, so you know how Honda automakers are a performance-centric brand for the modern day consumer. But Honda engineers don't just focus on creating mechanically efficient vehicles--they also focus on creating new safety standards that will change the entire industry. Recently, the Honda brand hosted what's called the Honda City and Jazz VSA Safety Driving Experience to help inform local media about Honda vehicle's commitment to safety.

During the event, the Honda brand showed off its anti-locking brake system, its electronic brake-force distribution, and finally its stability assist technology. The HCPI president of the Honda brand said that Honda engineers are committed to using the latest safety technologies and their vehicles are updated with the latest and greatest in safety equipment and features.

During the event, 15 car enthusiasts were asked to drive different Honda vehicles. Throughout these driving tests, the drivers tested the Slip and Grip technology as well as the emergency braking system. On a slippery surface, these testers were allowed to drive through some different obstacles and see how the ABS, EBD, and VSA all work automatically to ensure the drive is smooth, easy, and above all else, safe. The cars tested were the Honda City and the Honda Jazz, but here at your local Honda dealership serving San Antonio, we know that every Honda car takes safety to the next level. Whether it's a used Honda or a brand new model, you can bet you're getting the best of what Honda vehicle safety has to offer. To learn more, come check out a new Honda vehicle in Schertz.
