2018 Honda CR-VÂ
The 2018 Honda CR-V comes off last year's major redesign largely unchanged. When you offer remote engine start, heated side mirrors, power-adjustable front seats, and dual-zone climate control, there's not much room for improvement.
The Ford Edge does offer engines with a bit more horsepower, but there's a catch: they're not nearly as efficient as their Honda counterparts. In fact, the Honda CR-V offers unrivaled fuel economy.
And have we mentioned that Honda Sensing active safety features like
adaptive cruise control, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road
Departure Mitigation, and lane departure warning come standard on all
trims? That's in addition to a host of other safety, comfort, and
convenience features that make each ride a joy.
2018 Ford EdgeÂ
The 2018 Ford Edge offers a choice of three engines, each fed through a six-speed automatic transmission. As with its Honda-branded counterpart, it offers seating for five and available all-wheel drive.
However, there are some things it doesn't offer. The ride quality of the Honda CR-V is more refined, while on the Ford Edge it's inconsistent (especially on the Sport trim, which tends to be stiff). Many of our customers have also expressed a preference for the cabin on the Honda CR-V; the styling may be a bit more conservative, but it's also a bit more comfortable - especially on longer trips.
